We are a friendly group who try to keep the rules simple. Normally we fit in 3 games of 25 minutes maximum, then we have refreshments and a chat.
Boards are provided, just bring a pen to keep your score. After each game, the winner moves on depending on the number of players. At present this varies between 7 and 12.
In order to keep the monthly cost down, we share the space with the Whist group and great fun is had by all.
If you would like to join, just turn up or for more information, please email us.
2026 Group Report
The Scrabble group meets once a month in St. George’s cafe. We share the space with the whist group in order to cover the rent. We are a small, friendly group and usually manage two or three games per session. We meet on the second Wednesday of the month from two o’clock until four. New members are always welcome.
