Bridge has become known as the ultimate card game and it can be challenging but that is what makes it engrossing. Our members range from experienced to absolute beginners and so we play with people with a wide range of ability
Due to the declining popularity of Bridge, we are very keen to introduce new players to the game and will be delighted to teach you from scratch and offer hints and advice as you play your first games.
We also have the cards and the tables and encourage people to try other card games such as Cribbage, Hearts, Rummy, Canasta and Euchre.
Why play Bridge?
Bridge is far more than just a card game. It's a test of memory, logic, teamwork, and creativity. Each hand played is a new puzzle waiting to be solved, a fresh opportunity to outthink your opponents and work harmoniously with your partner. If you enjoy games that combine luck and skill, Bridge will quickly become your new favourite pastime.
- Sharpen Your Mind: Studies have shown that playing Bridge can improve memory, concentration, and even stave off cognitive decline. The game’s blend of tactics and strategy keeps your brain active and engaged.
- Social Connection: Bridge is best enjoyed together. You’ll make new friends, share laughs, and become part of a community that values camaraderie as much as competition.
No two games of Bridge are ever the same! With countless possible deals and ways to play, the excitement never fades. We play Bridge for the enjoyment of playing just as it used to be. We welcome beginners, those who learnt as students and want to reconnect and experienced Bridge players willing to share their knowledge and experience.
